Burgundy Wine
Burgundy wines (Denomination of Origin) covers the entire region of Burgundy. This region includes 385 villages in the departments of Yonne, Côte de Or, Saône et Loire and Rone.
In Burgundy wines using grapes Chardonnay for white wine and the Pinot Noir for red wine.
The predominant aromas in red wines of Burgundy are licorice and black fruits, and white honey, vanilla and lemon.
The climate in the region is generally temperate, with shorter summers and high humidity because of its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean.
The extent of its vineyards cover an area of 3,000 hectares and the soils vary from clay and limestone.
